Senior J2SE Developer

Harrington Starr is working with a Global Hedge Fund who are looking for hire a very Senior J2SE Developer to work on distribution systems and a low latency pricing application. This is a well established Hedge fund based in London City and due to recent growth they are now looking to hire a Senior J2SE Developer.
As the Senior Java J2SE Developer you will be working on a Pricing System and distributed systems for the fund. These systems are high performance machines and applications which will require attention to detail programming. You will have extensive J2SE Server side development with strong OOP and Multi threading (Concurrency) will be essential for this role. You will have strong client facing communication skills. Good knowledge of automated build and testing utilities such as Junit would be desirable.
Key Technical Skills:
* Strong and proven development experience in J2SE
* Extensive Multi Threading and concurrency development
* Strong experience in unit, integration and performance testing in a distributed Java System
* Extensive OOP programming and design patterns
* BSc or MSc educated in a Numeric, Scientific or Engineering discipline.
