Senior JAVA Developer – Risk Engine (12 months contract) recruitment
The lead developer will be working closely with technical architect, developers and the global Market Risk IT team.
The lead developer is expected to partner with the technical architect in providing technical guidance to the project and be hands on design/ development resource.
He/she is accountable for providing technical guidance in the project, translating the requirements coming from various project work streams to technical specifications, design the technical specifications, code and perform integration testing. The role will be a design authority in the project and deliver both design and development activities on the project
Responsibilities:
• Participate and contribute to the technical steer and discussions for the project and create project level technical artefacts.
• Convert the technical specifications to design and development work to ensure the specifications are delivered.
• Create Integration test plans and perform testing liaising with appropriate stakeholders for required data and testing facilitation.
• Appropriate follow through, delivery and reporting at various stages of development cycle.
Skills Required:
• 8 years of development experience in Core JAVA, Sybase, Unix environment.
• Experience working in Market Risk preferably.
• Excellent command of PL/SQL.
• Good to have Data synapse grid framework and working knowledge of Oracle Coherence caching and messaging.
• Minimum 5 years experience in the financial service industry preferably investment banking
• Experience in working on complex applications handling large volumes of data in a batch mode.
• Experience in performance related development projects.
