Senior Java Developer
About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our Market Operations Technology team to work on a broad range of projects across our distributed data caching team. These new projects will give our trading businesses access to information like Real time market positioning, Real time credit checks etc to allow the business to make informed decisions quickly.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and develop cutting edge real time, multi-threaded distributed systems
- Contribute to the overall technology architecture and solution design
- Work closely with key business stakeholders to ensure project deadlines are met
- Utilise distributed data caching technology.
About you:
To be successful in this role as a Senior Java Developer you will be degree qualified in Computer Science or similar with proven development experience in Java as well previous experience in developing real time, multithreaded and distributed systems. You will have previous financial services experience, ideally with trade flow experience. In addition you will also have the following:
- Previous Oracle Coherence or similar experience would highly regarded
- Proven problem solving experience
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- The ability to operate independently, to be proactive, and able to interact with stakeholders across all levels.
