Senior Java Developer
The Role
The role we’re looking for is a Senior Java Developer who will join a team of 18 to work on our suite of Web based applications (see http://www.abmsoftware.com / under Products choose abmpegasus or Intellicase). Ideally we’re looking for a Senior Developer who wants to step up to a Technical Architect role. In order to achieve this, the candidate must demonstrate they can look at current ways of working and technologies used and make recommendations to better our products. Therefore the individual must be confident and be able to communicate effectively. In addition, the individual will also have to mentor other staff.
Requirements
The individual must have in-depth Java/J2EE experience, as well as exposure to JavaScript, Ajax, Servlets, JSP, XML/XSLT, JDBC, Web Services, Spring, JUnit, Test driven development; Ant and Oracle (10g/11g) /SQL Server RDMS.
Experience of developing applications to operate across a wide range of Application Servers is highly desirable; experience of JBoss, Tomcat, and Oracle 10g application server is desirable.
Experience of CVS, Eclipse, XMLSpy and Toad would be beneficial.
Sun Java certification is highly desirable, however assistance will be given to successful candidates looking to progress their certification.
The individual must be local to our Ruddington (South Nottinghamshire Office) i.e Nottingham, Derby or Leicester.
