The JM Group has an exciting opportunity with a leading Global Commodities house who are recruiting for a strong Front Office Java developer to join their Energy team.

This role offers an opportunity for confident Front Office business facing Java developers to work within a dynamic, faced paced company within a project using cutting edge industry leading technology.

As a Front Office Commodities Java Developer you will have the responsibility of taking ownership of existing analytics system which:

* Scrapes data from websites and other external sources
* Presents data via Excel addin and real time Java client
* Stores data into a mixed database environment

As a senior Java developer you will be working with analysts and traders to develop tools in Java and Excel for analysing the data therefore the following experience is a must:

* Experience of working within a front office environment with daily interaction with Traders and Quants.
* Understanding of analytics ideally relating to the energy trading business, in particular power, gas and oil.
* Maintaining large Java developments projects

Development Skills:

* Java, Maven and JBOSS
* SQL Server and Oracle
* C#
* Excel VBA
