Harrington Starr is working with a Financial Services Start Up who are developing a revolutionary product for the Corporate Governance Sector within Financial Services to find a Senior Java Developer to work on Greenfield Big data development.
This Start up are looking for a Senior Java Developer (J2SE, Multi Threading, Concurrency, Core Java) who is looking for a technical challenge and wants to work for a smaller company where you will be able to benefit in the success of the company through share options. You will be developing on a big data system that requires a large amount of Greenfield Java Development. This system tracks millions of trades that take place and feeds this data back to a large number of users including Fund Managers and Asset Managers. Ideally you need to have worked on big data systems or large systems that require millions of lines of code to be written.
This start up feels that they are building a revolutionary product and want a Developer who shares in the passion for technology. You will need to be someone who wants to build something from the ground up and is happy to put the time and effort into making it a success. You will be able to share in the success of the company through shares and equity in the company.
As the Senior Java Developer (J2SE, Multi Threading, Concurrency, Core Java) you will need:
* Strong understanding of Core Java Development - Essential
* Good knowledge of Multi Threaded development and concurrency issues - Essential
* Be happy to work in a start up environment - Essential
* Experience with Big Data or Hadoop - Highly Beneficial
* Have a real passion for Java Technology - Highly Beneficial
