Senior Java Developer Hedge Fund £100K + Bonus
A World Leading Hedge Fund, with possibly the finniest trading technology team in the city coupled with an environment tailored exclusively towards technologists needs; have shown spectacular growth. As well as maintaining the production of spectacular systems translating into brilliant profits for the team year on year. As a result they are looking for an entrepreneurial expert senior java developer with the ability to evangelise new technologies and bring an equally high quality client side to their extremely advanced, highly distributed, Greenfield projects.
This is a broad technology role encompassing a complex front end trading application, performance improvement, market connectors, and analysis tools.
You will be joining a small team of 10 technologists building front office Trading and Risk systems. You will be responsible for optimizing software performance and developing and monitoring risk tools – gaining exposure across all asset classes. You will also be developing trading applications and providing support to traders. As a very visible member of the front office team, you will have the opportunity to increase your technical skills sets in a financial atmosphere whilst also improving your industry knowledge while working with the latest and most cutting edge technology.
Requirements:
- Substantial professional Java development experience, with exposure to multi-threaded, distributed, real-time systems
- Knowledge of Java frameworks such as Guice, Guava, JPA, Camel, CXF, Jetty
- Experience using SQL databases
- Exposure to financial industry
Pay + Benefits:
- Up to £100K on Base

Qualifications:
- Minimum 2.1 degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics, preferably from a Top 5 university
