Senior Java Developer – low latency messaging recruitment
Advantage Professional Technology Management are urgently seeking a VP level senior Java developer/architect to work in the technology team on a project involving the continued integration of our client's systems using the latest messaging frameworks. You should be comfortable mentoring junior developers while also working closely with architects in other regions to agree best solutions especially around message formats and protocols.
Experience in banking / finance would be highly desirable, especially working in a front office environment with knowledge of equities and fixed income products, and with messaging (ideally FIXML) between such systems.
You should also be comfortable with designing and delivering solutions to integrate web services and to perform data transformation between systems.
This role will offer end to end project work in an agile team working directly with the portfolio manager and traders to gather requirements, design and develop solutions as well as insuring the team adopts the latest continuous integration tools for automated unit, component and end-to-end testing.
Ideal candidates would have:
*Strong knowledge of Java
*Spring
*Low latency messaging
*SQL
*J2EE development
*Unix shell scripting
*Familiarity with continuous automated testing
*Informatica knowledge would be a bonus
