Global Markets Risk Technology (GMRT) provides support to Global Risk Management’s goals of innovation, transformation and productivity through delivery of global technology solutions. The Market Risk Technology team is committed to building a ‘best in class’ platform for capture, monitoring reporting Market Risk of the Global Markets division - located in New York, London and Hong Kong
Responsibilities
As a senior member of the development team, you will be pivotal to:
- Design delivery of enhancements and fixes to global, strategic Market Risk management systems
- Coordinating efforts with global partners to ensure unified approach and delivery
- Providing innovative, tactical solutions when necessary, to meet regional requirements
- Translating business requirements into effective, efficient technology deployments
- Coordinating with business and technology partners for troubleshooting of QA/UAT/PROD issues
- Participation with the larger technology community to ensure GMRT solutions align with the firm’s vision
- Continuous improvements, leveraging current/emerging trends in the wider technology sphere
Requirements
- Strong Core-Java / J2EE experience on Unix/Linux platforms
- Good Unix shell scripting experience
- Good MS .NET, VBA, scripting (Python/Perl / VBScript ...) - (preferred)
- Solid RDBMS DML/DDL/development experience – preferably in Banking/Finance industry
- Experience with Enterprise-level Reporting platforms, at least one – MicroStrategy, TIBCO, IBM, Oracle, Microsoft
- Strong Capital Markets business knowledge
- Market Risk domain knowledge an advantage
