A leading US Investment Bank is looking for a Senior Java technologist to work within their fixed income space. Responsibilities include analysis, design, development and implementation of web-based (java) business process management software for the fixed income team.  An opportunity combining business interaction and Java Development, participating in process modeling and design workshops and effectively communicating technical/non-technical issues with the business users. This role also requires the opportunity to lead the fixed income team as well as hands on development.

Requirements for Senior Fixed Income Developer- Los Angeles, California

• Strong Java/J2EE skills, UI skills

• Web base application development experience (JAP, HTML, JavaScript, XML)

• Spring, Struts and Tiles frameworks

• Strong database skills (Oracle, SQL)

• Understanding of agile software development methodology, background in object oriented design and analysis.

• Financial experience desirable, especially Fixed Income.

• BPM technologies such as Lombardi, BEA ALBPM, Savvion and Pega are highly desirable

Responsibilities for Senior Fixed Income Developer- Los Angeles, California

Understanding the business processes, participating in process modeling and design workshops, identifying opportunities for process improvement in working with process analysts and the business users.

• Effectively communicating technical or non-technical issues with the business users

• Modeling business components, services, processes, and systems.  Understand design patterns, and their applicability.  Create and maintain common components and services using a layered architecture that will be used by several projects

• Implementing web-services or JMS based integrations with BPM and other systems using the ESB (Enterprise Service Bus).

• Contributing to design sessions, coding, code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, supporting beta testing, bug fixes and documentation in support of new BPM integration initiatives and related projects and common standards and best practices.

• Provide production support, evaluate and trouble shoot Java code and system failures and discrepancies. Analyze performance and design inefficiencie

The ideal candidate will have an extensive background as a Java Developer, with previous financial knowledge, ideally previously working with fixed income products.
