Senior Java Software Engineer recruitment
We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our client's Global Development Team in Hong Kong.
This role is responsible for developing high quality and robust solutions to meet the needs of our client's trading activities. You will be required to interact with similar teams in Europe and the US to share knowledge and best practice.
Developing and maintaining real time trading and analysis applications, in cooperation with traders, algorithms team members, business analysts and other developers.Working closely with algo team members to capture requirements and implement challenging algorithms.
Balancing the need for quick delivery with designing and building quality, scalable trading architecture that meets the short and long term needs of the business.Working closely with other development teams in Chicago and Amsterdam on challenging projects.
Tertiary qualifications in IT, Business Information Systems/Technology or Computer Science. Other degree qualifications will be considered if supported by strong IT components.
Strong academic results.Minimum 3 years software development experience preferably with experience in developing trading support system.
Excellent Java programming skills and development experience in a Linux or Unix environment.
Extensive experience with OOP/OOD.Excellent understanding of the software development life cycle, enterprise technologies and strong software prototyping, design and scripting skills.
Knowledge of algorithms, data structures and multi-threadingGood understanding of a wide range of financial products, particularly derivatives in equity markets.
Familiarity with the businesses processes and workflows and securities trading organizations is desirable.
Strong communication skillsStrong analytical skills, well developed planning ⁄ organising skills and a highly structured approach to tackling tasks and achieving results;Self sufficient, highly motivated, resourceful individual
Be a problem owner and solver with a logical approach to solving issues;Knowledge of the Financial Markets is an advantage, and a passion for the industry is essential.
