Our client is a burgeoning start-up who has built a solid team of technologist over the last few years. In 2012, they will be releasing a cutting-edge web product that utilises bleeding-edge technologies. Reporting to the Senior Web Architect, the role of Senior Developer will involve: coding, design, architecture, and following best practices and SCRUM methodology. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of high-traffic, large data environments. 
 
  

• Very strong experience as a Senior Java/J2EE Developer  
• Experience with Python will be an advantage  
• Open-source evangelist  
• Advanced skills with: JVM, Lucene, Maven, Netty, etc.  
• Appreciation with large data tools: Hadoop Cassandra  
• Experience/appreciation with stream processing, realtime computation, message queues, algorithms, data structures, inverted indexes, bloom filters, has tables, etc.  
• Agile/SCRUM/TDD  
• Experience with large data web environments  
• Experience with search engines  
• Strong experience with RDBMS NoSQL databases  
• A passion for technology is a must!  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
