- Lead development of a team of software engineers
- Responsible for communicating with architect and implementing technical recommendations generated by architect (teams that have architect)Be able to create detailed design and architecture documents
- Technical responsibility for the product and is the technical expert for the team
- Sets technical direction for team and responsible for team's implementation
- Responsible for ensuring code reviews are conducted (not required to perform reviews but ensure they happen)
- Responsible for removing technical roadblocks for team members
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience
- Minimum of seven years experience leading software teams
- Minimum of six years experience working on large software projects
- Minimum of five years experience working as an architect or with architects
- Application Server experience (ie: Jboss)
- Relational Databases
- Enterprise Application experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Java/JEE development experience
- Rules based Software Development (ie: ILOG, JRules)
- Agile Methodology
- SQL
- Experience in the Healthcare industry
