Job Description

The Asset License, Vendor Management Function is charged with ensuring the hardware software assets of the bank are effectively managed from a policy and process perspective and consistent with the ITIL process framework, and best practice.

Key Accountabilities
i. Operations/ Professional/ Business

1. Serve as subject matter expert and provide leadership for asset management program of works, processes, tools and collaboration across SCB
2. Responsible for producing accurate MIS reports to facilitate business decisions which address and mitigate Technology Obsolescence
3. Own and drive a continual improvement program and the execution of asset management processes to gain efficiencies and improve the overall asset management inventory strategy
4. Implement key control points which deliver measurable improvements to enhance the Asset management governance within SCB
5. Create and develop automated reporting metrics and standard operating procedures for software license and Asset management
6. Onboard global enterprise software products through a structure procurement catalogue to derive software entitlement
7. Serve as subject matter expert for software licensing and provide leadership for software asset tracking, risk assessment and mitigation action plan.
8. Collaborate with key stakeholders to align and deliver key objectives

ii. Management
1. Alignment of team goals and priorities with corporate business strategy
2. To have the ability to organise work area and manage responsible portfolio effectively
3. Is focused on delivering key results within agreed timeframe
4. Is able to articulate the requirement for Software Asset management and gains buy-in from senior stake holders and management team.
5. End to End operational compliance management for product portfolio

iii. Leadership

1. To be fully involved in all the operational activities within the assigned portfolio.
2. To be able to make decisions recommendations while continuously looking to improve productivity and quality.
3. To demonstrate awareness in self development, while building key capabilities in team members to improve operational effectiveness and capability
4. To manage change by adapting to new situations and requirements, keeping things under control during periods of rapid change.

Key Roles Responsibilities

Qualifications Skills

* In possession of a 4 year university degree in information technology, Business management, or supply chain management (or appropriate professional experience) preferred
* Good relevant work experience in the field of IT asset management, Software Asset Management and/or supply chain management
* Proficient expert knowledge/experience with IBM, Oracle and Microsoft Software License models
* Practical experience managing a Software asset management program for a global firm.
* Familiarity with asset management principles, discovery tools, and Inventory management products
* Knowledge and experience in any system based ordering and capitalisation of assets
* Must have a strong background of IT products and terminology, especially in enterprise solution suite. .i.e. BMC, Altiris, Oracle, CA, IBM, Microsoft
* Excellent foundation with IT asset management concepts, with a strong foundation in planning and execution
* Minimum ITIL foundation training and/or Procurement/Finance Certification seen as an advantage
