Markets and International Banking (MIB) is the investment banking arm of the Group, offering a broad range of services enabling major corporations and institutions to achieve their global financing, transaction services and risk management objectives. The Lean workstream is a key component of the Group led Finance Transformation programme which aims to re-engineer Finance business processes, technology and people. The objective of Lean is to: Simplify and remove complexity from Finance processes and ways of working, release capacity to enable line teams to focus on value add activities and create a sustainable Lean capability within GBM both in the line and change communities.           

As Senior Lean Leader you will lead and drive multiple Lean projects to deliver transformational change across end-to-end finance business processes, specifically reducing variability, removing inflexibility and removing waste. This will result in the delivery of an improved customer experience, productivity, efficiency, staff engagement and risk control.  Your role will directly contribute to the team’s ability to deliver a successful implementation of the holistic RBS Lean approach, working in close collaboration with line management and staff, driving diagnostic, design and implementation of sustainable improvements in five key areas (five lenses).     

This is a crucial Senior Lean Leader position, and you'll need to have a deep understanding and experience of Lean and its practical applications in business process re-engineering within a strategic programme. To be successful you'll have a proven track record of large scale, multi-year and complex programme deliveries, ideally in an investment bank. Good knowledge of project management approaches and an understanding of the financial markets business and delivering MI solutions to the business. A familiarity with finance process and products would be highly beneficial.
