Senior Legal Counsel recruitment
The jobholder assists the FGB Group General Counsel manage legal risk in all the geographies where FGB operates and across all business lines in accordance with FGB legal policies and procedures. The jobholder provides legal advice and support to the Corporate and Retail Banking businesses with particular emphasis on Islamic Finance products. The jobholder understands Islamic Finance structures (Murabaha, Ijarah, Istisna, Mudarabah, etc), has experience in drafting relevant documents, advises on Islamic Finance structures and processes, and is familiar with UAE law in the context of Islamic Finance structures. The jobholder should establish cooperative and supportive working relationships with all members of the Legal Function. The jobholder should be able to work autonomously, but should seek the General Counsel’s input on unusual situations, highly complex matters, and issues which may pose significant legal, financial and/or reputational risk to FGB Group.
