Our client is a global trust services company with strong global footprint. It is seeking to recruit an outstanding Senior Legal Counsel for its Singapore office.
Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, Asia Pacific and as a member of the Singapore Country Management Committee, you will provide legal and regulatory advice and services to the MD of Singapore and senior management. As a primary decision maker on Singapore legal matters, you will support the business objectives while providing appropriate legal related governance and oversight to ensure legal, regulatory and reputational risks are managed and mitigated. You will manage and report Singapore-related litigation in accordance with global legal policy.
Degree and legally qualified, you will have at least 8 – 10 years of legal experience ideally in a Singapore regulated financial institution. Experience with management of legal issues relating to trustee business is preferred. With good working knowledge of Securities and Futures Act and/or other MAS legislations, you possess strong business acumen and are commercial in your approach and highly credible.
