Zurich, Switzerland
Salary: 120,000 CHF – 160,000 CHF
Other benefits: Executive level benefits package, stock options, car and housing allowance.
Relocation will be provided (if required).
A leading Wealth and Asset Management Group is looking for a Senior Legal/Compliance office to support the risk team over transaction processes and counterparties. The firm is investing a large percentage of its 2012 budget on its legal and compliance sector due to the regulatory changes and have made it very clear that this is a division that is becoming one of the fundamental foundations of the firm’s infrastructure. Candidates will need very strong management skills and a robust temperament as well as excellent knowledge of the compliance and legal space.
This role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to:
• Ensure the banks day to day running is in accordance to Swiss regulations and laws
• Designing new procedures, documentations and instructions to improve global compliance practices
• Anticipate potential changes in the legal frame which could impact activities
• Dealing with/facing off with regulators
• Hold and lead weekly meeting with senior members of the staff within the department
The successful candidate is likely to have the following skills:
• A good understanding of Swiss regulatory laws.
• Excellent knowledge of compliance and legal space
• Strong communicator to work with / face off with the regulators
• A law degree and training OR external compliance training (diploma)
• A background in wealth and/or asset management house/firm/boutique would be preferred but not compulsory
• At least 5 years relevant experience
