Senior Lending Manager
Investigo are representing a leading Financial Services organization in their search for a Senior Lending Manager within their growing property portfolio.
Current loans range from £1 million to £100 million plus, and cover everything from industrial property to residential. Clients include private property investors, institutional funds and specialist property companies.
The Property Business Savings team is expanding and as a result, an exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Lending Manager to lead the team.
Key responsibilities
- Lead new transactions to drawdown of monies utilising project management techniques and matrix management of internal and external deal teams in the due diligence and credit reporting and documentation processes.
- Generate high levels of income and profits by delivering the departmental Business Plan of lending in a variety of sectors, depending upon department, including the complex asset backed commercial property investment .
- Evaluate lending opportunities generated from personal and department marketing activities and structure lending terms to optimise profit and risk adjusted returns by applying sector, legal, credit, syndication and financial markets knowledge.
- Develop and maintain a network of professional and business relationships. These may include major quoted and private property companies, institutional fund managers, sponsors and key influencers within the property industry to promote the profile of the organization in these markets as a major lender and manage existing customer lending relationships in these sectors.
- Manage relationships with existing customers in the defined sectors.
- Sponsor and contribute to project team activities to review market dynamics, improve operational systems, develop marketing strategies and business plans, and other initiatives to drive the business forward.
- Manage, motivate and mentor Lending Managers and Assistant Managers within the department and provide coaching and support for their development.
Person Requirements
- Minimum ACIB or equivalent professional qualification.
- 5 years minimum experience of lending in the property, social housing, corporate, acquisition or project finance sectors to include, (depending on the sector), structuring, negotiation and documentation of Public and Private Limited Company Acquisition

- Loan Book Acquisitions
- Corporate Finance (non-fixed Charges)
- Project Finance (PFI/Public Private Partnership - PPP)
- RSL Group funding structures
