CAREER OPPORTUNITY
The Senior Licensing Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing long-term relationships with licensors identified by the company and for securing new licenses based on the strategies of Mead Consumer Office Products (MCOP) sales and marketing teams. This position is responsible for securing new licensed agreements and renewing existing agreements and partnerships that enable a high sales volume for MWV.
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT MWV
- Identify emerging trend licenses and initiate all aspects required to secure new licenses for specific business lines/product formats.
- Establishes new and manages on-going relationships with licensors including negotiating contracts and day-to-day account relationships while representing the best interests of MCOP-U.S.
- Recommends licenses based upon MCOP strategies and licensor requirements.
- Negotiates licensing business agreements with middle and senior level executives at major corporations, which requires strong business acumen, financial analysis, and strong negotiation skills.
- Research new opportunities via industry relationships, trade/consumer publications and trade shows.
- Analyze and interpret sales trends to incorporate into annual business reviews with key partners.
- Manage and communicate contract licensing requirements and approvals by titles between licensor and Marketing/Design departments.
- Works with Contracts and Royalty teams to negotiate, secure, report and comply with licensor contracts.
- Works in tandem with Licensing Account Coordination on assigned licensor accounts to secure and interpret licensor-approved artwork.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Excellent communication skills, confidence, and leadership skills are required, as are interpersonal effectiveness in creating and supporting teams, negotiating, selling ideas to others, resolving conflicts, and managing change effectively. Outstanding skills in both oral and written communications are mandatory.
- Experience in consumer products industry and full understanding of marketing principles is preferred.
- Bachelors degree in business, marketing or related field and 5+ years of licensing industry experience.
- Exceptional time management, organizational and planning skills are needed to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects and deadlines. Project Management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of art and print production ideal.
- 25-35% travel.
