Senior Loan Review Examiner Job in Seattle 98101, Washington Us

Our Senior Loan Review Examiner is responsible for the completion of reviews of business units' loan portfolios, including commercial real estate, residential construction and commercial and industrial, to ensure compliance with established policies and standards. Recommend appropriate corrective actions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Contributes to the annual review of policy and procedures for the loan review function including scope and method of reviews.

Performs loan review examinations including:

Reports loan review exam findings verbally and in writing providing recommendations for corrective actions if needed.

Performs systematic reviews of the Bank's loan portfolio to assess the accuracy and effectiveness of management's credit risk monitoring mechanisms. Interacts with external auditors and regulatory agencies as necessary.

Assists in the development of new/improved credit risk practices. Keeps informed on new loan products, industry trends, and regulatory changes.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelors Degree in Business or Finance or equivalent work experience.

Requires a minimum of five years experience in loan review with a commercial bank or a related financial services company, including a working knowledge of current loan review processes, loan classifications, risk management techniques and loan loss reserve analysis.

Must have experience in a variety of lending areas such as residential and commercial construction, multifamily and commercial real estate, and commercial/business lending.

Must have a general knowledge of all federal and state laws and regulations governing credit administration functions and experience in developing credit policies and procedures.

Requires strong analytic, problem solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management.

Proven ability to provide objective feedback in constructive manner.

Ability to work independently and maintain objectivity in assessments.

Must have demonstrated proven ability to improve existing processes that will result in improved processes while maintaining credit risk controls.

Demonstrated PC skills including MS Office with strong excel proficiency required.
