Senior Macro Economist/Strategist – Hedge fund – London recruitment
The hire is part of their expansion following successful returns over multiple years.
A long side a team of highly experienced and successful individuals you will have the opportunity to develop successful investment ideas and strategies for the portfolio.
As the Chief economist for the firm you will be responsible for the firm-wide outlook and forecast for the global economy, expressed through research publications and internal/external communications.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on the buy side within a trade oriented environment however sell side candidates with an excellent track record will also be considered. .
Your responsibilities will include:-
• Responsible for macro and strategy on sovereign related assets both in local and foreign currency, from economic research to specific trade ideas and asset allocation
• Generating Macro Forecasts for the portfolio manager
- Coverage of broad range of global and cross country economic issues aimed at developing investment ideas.
• Designing macro forecasting models
• Generation of macro-based investment strategies
In order to apply for the position you must have :-
• An excellent global economic understanding
• A solid educational and professional record.
• Experience working across fixed income as an economist
• A range of economic and central banking contacts.
As the chief economist you will be one of the leaders of the team responsible for macro strategy and idea generation across asset classes.
Please note that the firm are looking to hire a dedicated economist who is a specialist in their field therefore only economists will be considered for this position.
