This Senior Management Accountant / Finance Manager Job in Newport is within a well established but growing manufacturing organisation based near Newport. This organisation is has a growing market presence and has a strong forecast for growth over the next year.
This job has become available due to internal progression, the successful candidate will be working closely with and reporting to the Financial Controller.
As the Senior Management Accountant / Finance Manager you will be responsible for:
· Management reporting and accounts including reporting to the board
· Financial Accounts
· Day to day management of the Finance team to support the Financial Controller
· Prepare annual accounts liaising with auditors and full reconciliation of the balance sheet
· PL accounts
· Accruals prepayments
· Cashflow management
· Prepare budgets rolling sales forecasts
· Monitor cash balances and movements
· Job Costing
· Quarterly VAT return
· Taking control of annual appraisals and Personal development planning for part of the team
Ideally you will be:
ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
Have experience working in a manufacturing environment or similar
Experience working with Excel to an advanced level, with experience of implanting new systems
Strong communicator who has experience reporting to board level
Proven record of saving time / money through process improvement
