Senior Manager – Employee Benefits recruitment
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the team and responsible for providing actuarial services to support the business development
- Actuarial support of product development
- Financial commentary on drivers of business value
- Provide strong financial controls and accuracy of financial results
- Collaborate with distribution team to develop new products and manage existing products that allow the LOB to compete and grow in a financially sound manner, this includes engagement with distribution to understand the specific needs of their line of business and proactively reviewing actuarial guidelines to ensure best possible quotations are provided to business stakeholders
- Support management of the line of business by providing information and analysis about the financial condition of the LOB, this includes presenting developing stakeholder awareness of the financial drivers of the business, determining key metrics of the business and advising on business direction to improve key metrics.
- Reviewing and providing insightful commentary on analysis of value movement
- Continuously review of processes to ensure the actuarial control cycle is employed when providing analysis to stakeholders, this includes reviewing underwriting limits and monitoring underwriting performance, reviewing and continuous improvement of experience studies methodologies, leading a robust assumption setting process, building a strong quotation process, building best practice modeling methodologies and business planning process
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree or higher in Actuarial Science or associated fields with at least 8 years experience in life insurance of which 5+ years experience in product development
- Specific experience in Credit Life / Group would be preferred
