Summary:
- Conduct Strategy is a Group led programme that sets out 12 key initiatives requiring implementation across all group divisions to embed an enhanced conduct framework. The programme was originally mobilised in response to the FSA RMP in Aug 2012. The Group submitted its revised conduct strategy to the FSA in Nov 2012
- The 12 initiatives and associated programme of work impacts all Sales teams Products across Financial Markets and all trading centres. (London and International locations)
- Conduct Strategy impacts all front to back processes and procedures impacting clients (and in time market participants)
- Market Conduct will fall within conduct strategy remit once requirements are defined by Group/CB Compliance.
Core Purpose of the Role:
To manage and deliver programme of work that will lead to Financial Markets “establishing” Conduct strategy by Q4 2013.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the requirements of drive the implementation of Conduct Strategy Client Effectiveness initiatives as they pertain to Financial Markets
- Act as central liaison point for Financial Markets on all matters relating to implementation of the 11 initiatives within the Conduct Strategy programme
- Attendance to CB wide Conduct Strategy working groups, representing and driving FM position interest, providing effective feedback to key stakeholders within the business and support functions
- Central co-ordination of programme work and input between e.g.:
- FM Business stakeholders (Desk Heads, Business Mangers),
- Initiative CB leads driving implementation for CB
- Business/Support Partners including BUCF, Compliance, Operations IT
- Facilitate and drive conduct risk gap analysis on existing front to back processes, procedures, metrics,.SLAs etc that exist for FM across each of the 11 Conduct Strategy initiatives
- Together with CB wide colleagues/initiative leads, devise coordinate plans actions to embed conduct strategy within FM BAU processes, procedures associated MI.
- Cross liaison with Change resource to ensure programmes in flight capture conduct risks and associated mitigating actions
Key Capabilities:
- 10yrs experience in Financial Services with knowledge of FI products and services
- Conduct subject matter expertise, with proven experience of identifying conduct risks, developing strategies to mitigate and delivering practical solutions to embed conduct strategy into BAU activities
- Exemplary stakeholder management skills, able to liaise across Sales Trading and front to back support functions
- First class presentation and communication skills with the ability to deliver clear messages to a diverse range of audiences from ambiguous and complex information sources
- Strong analytical skills
- Self starter
