Senior Manager, Applications Engineering Job in Hauppauge 11788, New York US
SMSC is looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Applications Engineering to lead and manage team of engineers providing focused support to field engineers, factory tech support, and internal development groups. This team will drive issue resolution, and improve product supportability, handle issue escalations create documentation, application notes, and other collateral. Additionally, the team is responsible for driving product definition projects to deliver better supportability into products. In addition to Managing the team, the Senior Manager, Applications Engineering is responsible for facilitating worldwide customer issues with engineering and marketing, deployment and release management of products and the expansion of end-market application strategies.
Position Requirements and Qualifications
· Minimum of 10 years of semiconductor industry experience
· 5+ years’ experience in a management role
· Must have a broad knowledge of analog and mixed-signal devices including strong working knowledge of Ethernet, Networking and USB technologies
· Experience in Industrial and/or Networking markets preferred
· Excellent technical documentation, verbal and interpersonal skills are required
· This position requires 20-30% domestic and international travel
