Senior Manager Business Performance Management

A brilliant opportunity has arisen at a leading emerging markets bank for a senior manager in business performance management. This bank is highly regarded in the emerging markets space and is looking to further develop their London offering with high calibre individuals.

The key purpose of the role is to provide analysis and financial performance information to enable the heads of business to advise the Group Board on the trajectory of the business performance.

The role will expose the successful candidate to all the banking groups, all regions across the globe as well as the full financials of the Group, strategic initiatives and future performance strategy.

As well as providing support to C- Level executives you will also be responsible for managing a global team.

The primary responsibilities of the senior business Performance Manager are:

*Provision of insightful analytical decision support on business performance to senior management. A key success factor of the role is to make considered judgement on the future performance of the Group without perfect information or certainty, but to assess likelihood and act accordingly.

*Work closely with the Financial Reporting and Investor Relations teams to provide financial analysis in support of externally published results. This work involves a full understanding of the obligations to the market in external financial releases and messaging, and a thorough understanding of all aspects of financial performance of the Group.

*Manage the smooth running of the monthly review of Group financial performance through the Management Committee. Critical to this is the identification and analysis of key drivers of performance in the Group's major businesses and territories. Key to this is being able to communicate effectively between the Country and Business Finance heads, Functional Heads and the Board. Creativity in the delivery of the key messages around the pure financial results is a pre requisite for success.

*Accountability for the Group's key metrics model ensuring timely update of assumptions and other inputs to generate a complete and accurate set of metrics

*Managing the production of Group management accounts

*Providing ad hoc analytical support as required to Group Senior Management plus the ability to spot future areas of concern or opportunities.

The successful candidate will have:

*A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or overseas equivalent)
*High degree of analytical skills, probably found in a business partnering or decision support role within financial services
*Team management experience
*Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at senior levels and experience of writing level reports for board members
