Senior Manager, Business Performance recruitment

Job Description

This role is a senior global position in the Group Technology Operations Finance team.

This Group Costs Performance Management position is responsible for monitoring, reporting and management of Group Technology Budgets, Costs, and Assets. It involves working closely with Senior Technology/Finance/Business managers and their teams.

Key Roles Responsibilities

(1) Business Performance and Cost Management

* Review, control, understand, and manage key cost and balance sheet items including accruals, work in progress, cross-border recharges, prepayments, resource costs, hardware costs, etc.
* Provide information and commentaries on cost trends, variances from budget, changes across months, etc.
* Maintain and control key reference data such as cost centre hierarchies, account mappings, delegation of authorities, approver lists, etc.
* Manage the monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained
* Ensuring maintenance of a robust control environment and that sundry accounts are reconciled on a timely basis.
* Establish appropriate level of support to Technology management team and provide timely MIS which can be used to drive business decisions
- Assist technology teams in achieving accurate forecasting and budgeting, and in taking the correct financial decisions.
- Engage in regular reviews with senior Technology management
- Track progress on various cost reduction opportunities
- Ensure costs are charged out equitably to various beneficiary countries / businesses, escalate outstanding items at periodic intervals and seek resolution
- Address queries concerns raised by Technology teams and business Finance teams
* Ensuring compliance with group policies on capitalization, Work In Progress Transfers Accruals

(2) Budgeting and Planning

- Review Technology cost allocation drivers methodology during budget forecast cycles
- Ensure the implementation of standard processes for recharges across Technology, and that recharges to the businesses and support functions are calculated and communicated on a timely basis

Qualifications Skills

To succeed in this position, you should possess the following:

* Qualified Accountant (CA, CIMA, ACCA) or equivalent degree in finance with many years of post qualification relevant experience
* Understanding / experience of managing technology financials, particularly within the financial sector, would be an definite advantage, but is not a pre-requisite
* Comfortable with detailed financial and cost analysis (working with numbers) while retaining the ability to analyse those and provide commentaries and insights
* Results oriented, willing to put in substantial effort, and at ease in working in a structured environment with readiness to initiate and cope with change
* Good communication skills, with a readiness to reach out to stakeholders across locations/functions and build good working relationships with them, including pushing back when required.
