Senior Manager, Business Performance Service – Shared Services Outsouring, Shanghai

Responsibilities
Senior managers are responsible for managing the deliverables of multiple engagements and contributing to business development, pursuing prospective clients and actively selling in the market. They ensure client satisfaction and quality deliverables consistent with KPMG methodology, as well as developing and supporting internal KPMG staff assigned to the engagement.
Deliver Client Engagements
- Work with a team of professionals to perform high quality advisory projects and help identify performance improvement opportunities for clients
- Effectively manage multiple/simultaneous engagements/tasks
- Work/supervise staff on assigned engagements
- Assure consistent quality on projects
- Work within the budget and overall financial target of the project to ensure goals are met.
- Manage single projects to achieve project goals and ensure that schedules for deliverables are met on time, accurately and within scope
- Identify and propose relevant solutions for client projects
- Provide infrastructure support to ensure that client invoicing is done accurately and on time
- Monitor client satisfaction
Business Development
- Participate in identifying, qualifying and selling new engagements
- Assist in developing quality proposals based on specific client requirements
- Seek opportunities to present KPMG services to sell to current clients
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of latest developments and methods in shared services outsourcing , both locally in China and globally
Practice Development
- Establish and build internal and external relationships
- Manage staff and create a positive work environment through goal setting, coaching and mentoring
Experience and Knowledge
Industry Experience
- A minimum of 7 to 10 years shared services, outsourcing, consulting and/or specific domain experience
- Experience as a buyer, supplier or third-party advisor to the outsourcing industry, ideally in at least two of the three areas
- Related experience in business process reengineering, business process outsourcing, shared services design, build and manage and business transformation
- Specific functional areas include: finance accounting, IT, human resources, procurement and supply chains
- Industry experience should include manufacturing industries, banking, finance, insurance, and telecommunications
Overall Qualities
- We require all candidates to have a flexible, creative and innovative approach to problem solving and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and solid analytical and consulting skills
- Proven business development skills with strong leadership skills
- Ability to lead client and internal and external organisations through complex transformation analysis and implementation
- Ability to communicate with executives and staff in an effective manner
- Ability to work independently in a self-managed, virtual environment
- Ability to understand underlying business issues and influence a client’s thinking and decision-making
Education and Professional Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or above), preference in business

- Fluent in both written and oral English and Mandarin (Putonghua)
