Senior Manager, Campaign Analysis & Reporting

POSITION SUMMARY:
Scotiabank's International Banking - Direct, Database Digital Marketing group is seeking a Senior Manager, Campaign Analysis Reporting to join their growing team. Reporting to the Vice President, the Senior Manager is responsible for the strategy and implementation of pre-campaign forecasting and post-campaign reporting and analytics for Direct Digital Marketing initiatives to enable the effective tracking of highly targeted, customer-focused product offers from multiple business lines across all delivery channels. The Senior Manager is also responsible for statistical testing methodologies, creation and maintenance of efficiencies in campaign reporting and feedback and commentary on campaign results to Scotiabank head office personnel.
The Campaign, Analysis Reporting unit leads pre-campaign forecasting and post-campaign reporting and analytics for initiatives across Scotiabank's International Banking customer base (Retail, Small Business and Wealth Management) and will provides analytical support to other areas within International Banking, such as the Contact Committee, Business Lines, Country representatives and Scotiabank delivery channels.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Further Direct, Database Digital Marketing utilization within International Banking by:
- Developing proficiency in pre-campaign forecasting and post-campaign analytics as well as customer contact evaluation by effectively communicating the benefits of these techniques.
- Determining cell sizes for implementing tests and offers in direct marketing campaigns, including expert consultation with respect to test sizes to achieve desired statistical significant and power at minimum costs.
2. Analysis, documentation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation:
- Development of pre-campaign forecasting, projecting return on campaigns for revenue and overall impact on the customer portfolio.
- Developing yearly projections when planning for the next fiscal year.
- Automation, production and presentation of monthly campaign analysis reporting, using analytic techniques based in SAS and Epiphany. Develop and implement a set of procedures that track the responses to the Direct Marketing campaigns.
- Perform quality assurance on all data requests in order to ensure accuracy and integrity to ensure integrity of reporting and liaising with Finance to ensure revenue spreads and components of revenue calculations are accurate and up to date.
- Interpreting and providing statistical profiling and customer contact effect estimation to Senior Management.
3. Leading and Developing Campaign Analysis and Reporting:
- Leading regular meetings to discuss campaign and test results and ensure requirements of internal customers are fulfilled through effective project management and strong communication with the personnel involved in executing these campaigns.
- Projects may include customer profiling, forecasting and customer contact effect estimation. Ensure requirements of internal customers are fulfilled through effective project management and strong communication.
- Manage the analysis, documentation, monitoring, information reporting and evaluation of DM campaigns.
- Developing and managing key financial and response information of all products and sites/countries' reporting and monitoring systems, analyzing the output of all systems and presenting results to the Business Lines and the Direct, Database Digital Marketing teams.
- Ensuring regular contact with the Non-Branch Channels, Sales Service and Risk teams for the collection and assurance that all channels used in the campaign are incorporated into the final results and subsequent report.
4. Manage relationships with regional DM hubs:
- Support counterparts in Peru, Mexico and Chile ensuring pan-divisional reporting capabilities and consistencies.
- Providing interpretation, translation and quality assurance to monthly results received by the Direct Marketing teams in Peru, Chile and Mexico.
- Gain understanding of targeted customers and offer types of regular and new campaigns in those regions.
- Sharing best practices and consulting with counterparts in Peru, Mexico and Chile as well as suggesting further targeting areas or areas that require further testing in order to achieve statistical significance.
5. Management and Development of Direct Reports:
- Develop, mentor and manage direct reports to ensure that the Direct Digital campaign analysis group has the capabilities and skill sets to compete effectively in the marketplace.
6. Other Assigned Duties:
- Other ad-hoc assignments or special projects from Senior Management or Business line. Contribute to International Banking by delivering a high standard of customer service to Management, other members of the Direct Marketing team and product groups.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5-8 years experience with knowledge-based marketing, technology, strategic marketing development and the execution of database marketing initiatives.
- Subject matter expertise on statistical profiling and customer contact effect estimation and the ability to interpret and to simply describe methodologies or approaches to individuals with little exposure to statistics.
- Expert communication skills and ability to successfully drive the post-campaign analytics process across multiple internal partners. Must be able to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.
- Sound leadership skills and the ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment that can include many reporting levels and varying skills/competencies.
- Fluency in Spanish is an asset.
EDUCATION AND ACCREDITATIONS:
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Statistics, Business or related discipline.
