Title: Senior Manager, Consumer Services Performance Analytics Location: New York-New York Other Locations: As part of a newly formed team in Consumer Services Marketing, the successful Senior Manager will report to the VP of Performance Analytics. The position is responsible to drive business strategy through analytics across all Consumer Services areas including: Consumer Cards Experiences, Loyalty Membership Benefits, New Member Marketing Services, Business Development and Commerce Innovation. Primary responsibilities include the development of statistical analysis, modeling tools and decision support logic to improve: * Offer or marketing initiative targeting in all channels * Influencing test designs for marketing initiatives or capability launches using a wide variety of methodologies to support potentially complex experimental settings including multivariate test design * Designing tracking plans for each initiative to ensure the appropriate feedback loop for optimization * Data driven simulation and optimization support for granular marketing investment strategies and potential partner compensation * Driving definition of standardized end to end metrics and portfolio level tracking processes for all marketing channels To achieve these key goals, the successful candidate will work across all marketing teams in Consumer Services to: * Define the key business problems or critical hypotheses of a marketing initiative including assessing overall effectiveness * Define the appropriate statistical or analytical technique for the business problem; this decision should balance business needs and timing with the required robustness * Drive adoption of the suggested analytical approach and incorporate into the overall business plan * Source (or arrange to generate) the appropriate data to feed the analysis * Extract intelligent information from this potentially complex data and perform the required analysis including ensuring appropriate quality control * Provide the results translated into key actionable insights for the business and deliver them in an impactful way to the business partners; also ensure that applicable results and discovered best practices are disseminated across the business Key linkages to this position are CCSG marketing teams, RIM, AXPi, Finance, etc. § Strong quantitative skills and proven track record delivering business insights through analytics § High quality written and oral communication skills with proven success in influencing business decisions and driving results § Strong and strategic thought leadership to identify current and future business needs and how to solve for them in efficient and innovative ways § Ability to operate independently and make critical decisions regarding high visibility deliverables with tight timelines; often requiring the ability to make complex decisions in situations of ambiguity and time pressure · Strong executive presence and collaborative/interpersonal skills · Strong written and verbal communication skills especially at the Executive level · Change agent not afraid to challenge the status quo · Degree in Statistics, Engineering or Advanced Analytics Required · Digital analytical experience preferred
