Job Overview
The position of Manager, Data-Mining and Customer Analytics is an opportunity for a business analyst with data modeling experience, presentational skills and customer-experience sensibilities to help identify and define strategic initiatives in a rich digital media space. As Audible grows its market segment, platforms and customer base are rapidly evolving. The right candidate will be able to leverage a wealth of customer and website data to define new ways to understand and answer the needs of the growing Audible customer base.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide in-depth analysis of key strategic issues, including opportunities for increased engagement and expanded product offerings.
- Drive leap ahead insights (in partnership with Director, Market Research) into the attitudes and behaviors that define customer segmenation and engagement across multiple platforms.
- Expand reporting tools for the team by establishing KPI dashboards that enable ongoing optimization of promotional efforts.
- In partnership with the Merchandising, Marketing and User Experience teams, carry understandings into proposals for action, as appropriate.
- Delve into several sources of customer data and transform key elements into actionable data-sets, including recommendation algorithms and predictive behavior models.
- Inform persona development to focus user experience development and CRM communications.
- Own site analytics to ensure proper implementation and optimized applications of results.
- Prepare and present analytics in a succinct and compelling manner for senior executive review.
Key Skills Abilities:
- A passion for data and all it can reveal.
- Proven ability to develop predictive models and algorithms
- Hands-on experience with large datasets (10M+ records)
- Ability to distill complex findings and concepts into key data-points and visualizations.
- Expert SQL query-development skills and SAS experience.
- Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc); VBA knowledge a plus but not required
Knowledge of database management systems, including OBIEE and Hyperion, a plus

Education:
Master's degree or higher, with concentration in statistics or computational math.
Experience Required:
6+ years in customer analytics with a major consumer-facing brand in the commerce or subscription space; online experience is a plus.

- Knowledge of database management systems, including OBIEE and Hyperion, a plus
