Senior Manager Enterprise Risk Management – APAC – Singapore recruitment
Responsibilities:
The Senior ERM Manager, APAC will support the Director of ERM to implement and co-ordinate the ERM framework for the firm's APAC region to meet regulatory and business requirements.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performing periodic risk assessment of the firm's key business units, products or processes.
- Providing consulting to risk owners to understand material risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Maintaining a register of identified risks to assist monitoring and reporting.
- Ensuring monitoring, escalation, and appropriate mitigation of identified exposures that exceed the organization’s risk appetite.
- Completing periodic reporting on status of key risks and provide status updates to respect governance bodies including local / regional management, local / regional boards.
- Coordinating with other risk functions to provide a comprehensive risk view in a streamlined fashion that provides value to our business partners.
- Collaborating with peers in other global regions, ensuring that highest risks are understood and prioritized across the global organization.
- Candidate should have strong understanding of risk management frameworks and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with members of Executive Staff.
Requirements:
- 8-10 years of experience gained in corporate risk management environment / internal audit within a complex international firm. Experience within the payments or financial services industry is highly preferred.
- Prior experience developing and performing risk assessment of complex processes across a broad spectrum of risk categories (operational, financial, regulatory, market, strategic, technology, etc.).
- Ability to understand regulatory expectations for risk management programs within financial services firms.
- Demonstrated ability to enable the business through its strategic plans while highlighting the material risks and urgency necessary to address these risks.
- Effective and polished communicator in both written and spoken English.
- Ability to think about risk broadly and develop effective risk management processes.
- Committed team professional who can quickly be viewed as a valued member of the ERM team and be trusted to accomplish complex tasks
