Senior Manager External Asset Management, Sales Manager of Fund Distribution, Custody or Fund Services Business

 

 They are actively expanding this new area of the business and they are experiencing continued growth in the current climate. You will be skilled at increasing revenue within assigned/ existing clients as well as targeting new prospects to bring on board.

This highly prestigious international bank is seeking a top fund professional with 8-12 years of experience to manage and develop a thriving platform business. This is a varied role where you will have both Business Development, Team Management and Fund Services responsibilities and is a highly unusual role in the London environment due to its important triple-aspect.

This role would suit a manager who has a strong understanding of building client business through Fund Administration services including Transfer Agency, Product Development, Fund Accounting or even other sides of the business. The key aspect is the ability to think entrepreneurially while understanding the key to running successful operations and service businesses.

We are looking for a leader, manager and motivator, someone who can envisage the growth of the business and how the team might run.  You should have strong commercial experience of the Funds business, knowing how to develop and maintain relationships. Through your previous experience in the Funds business you will also see operational issues before they emerge and spot opportunities on the horizon.

The right candidate is someone who is not scared of change but inspired by it, someone who in fact finds opportunity in challenge. Although you need to have a solid understanding of the business your background might be from one of several areas in the Funds business but your star quality will be the ability to think ‘outside the box’ and find pragmatic solutions. You are a senior business manager; someone managing a fund-set up, custody or even sales and business development function, with the ability to set targets and strategically grow the team. Equally a Senior Manager in the Operations area, who has worked extensively with clients on boarding their funds throughout the years would be an excellent fit. The role would suit someone from either a Fund Management business or a Service Provider, the key factor is their commitment to working with clients and their knowledge of the funds business.

You must be confident working at Chief Executive level, you will be a natural team orientated character able to leverage resources to deliver a common goal.

Small to mid-size asset managers, private banks and wealth managers can face distribution issues alongside the burden of the cost of infrastructure, this firm will offer them a range of funds, platform and services to alleviate that pressure. The product suite is either off the shelf or bespoke to the client, you will be responsible for promoting these funds and services to private banks, wealth managers, small to mid-size asset managers and larger family offices.
