Job Description
Managing a team of 10 people you will take full accountability for the statutory reporting and general ledger integrity. Working closely with Business finance teams you will provide the accurate and meaning full reporting to assist in the decision making process.
The role will involve but is not limited to:
- Motivation, management and continued development of a high performing team
- Ensuring the accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations and supporting work papers on a timely/monthly basis for all designated entities
- Ensuring a robust balance sheet reconciliation and month end process is in place and adhered to
- Ensure accuracy of trial balances prior to release to external account preparers
- Engage key internal and external stakeholders to include, Technical Accounting, Business Unity finance, External auditors etc
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of Financial Statements and audit work papers, including accurate and timely assembly of supporting documentation and arrangement of audit confirmations
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of all accounting policies and processes including preparation of journal requests, supporting month-end activities and completing necessary checks and reconciliations to guarantee the accuracy of financial information
- Support the timely response of auditor requests and queries
- Financial leadership as initiatives as required
The Successful Applicant
We are looking for a Chartered Accountant with a strong audit background. We are happy to consider first movers however the ideal candidate will have worked within both a chartered enviroment and then had experience within Wealth Management.
This is an exciting management opportunity so key to success is the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
A proven manager you will be a strong leader, able to motivate and influence. Process enhancement is a continued goal and you will work collaboratively with your team towards this.
