Senior Manager, Financial Accounting & Reporting recruitment

Job Description

You will be a senior member of our Financial Reporting team in Country Finance.

Your scope of work will comprise:

To deal with all matters relating to

1. Financial reporting and statutory accounts of Singapore Branch (DBU, ACU and subsidiaries) including (but not exhaustive): -
- Head Office reporting (IFRS and CAD)
- Maintenance of corporate database and company secretarial matters
- Liaison with internal and external auditors
- Resolution of queries

2. Product accounting review (PPGs) from financial accounting and reporting point of view

3. To review key MIS/ reconciliations (including but not exhaustive): -
- Profit Remittance
- Monthly reconciliation of exposures reported to BCRS vs GL
- Preparation of Basel Management Committee Monthly MIS

4. To participate in the projects, new accounting and reporting requirements and drive process improvements

Key Roles Responsibilities

1. To ensure both regular and ad-hoc financial reporting requirements from Group Finance in London and local Manco are met.
2. To prepare the statutory accounts of Singapore branch (DBU, ACU and subsidiaries).
3. To ensure monthly and quarterly Basel reporting requirements are met.
4. To provide guidance to the FSSC Reporting team in generating accurate and timely financial information in PSGL.
5. To provide the necessary support to local and Group Business Finance colleagues in achieving a high standard of financial information to business units.
6. To liaise with internal and external auditors on any finance related issues.
7. To advise on implication of new accounting standards on statutory and head office reporting, and make changes to GL in order to comply.
8. To review product program / country addendum to ensure statutory reporting requirements are catered for.
9. To participate in ad-hoc process reengineering projects, integration projects and other ad-hoc projects and ensure that objectives of financial reporting team are met.

Qualifications Skills

- CPA / Accounting degree
- Several years' experience in financial reporting role (preferrably in banking industry)
- Clear thinker - analytical with an eye for details
- Good communication skills
