Senior Manager – Financial Reporting & Controls :: Top Tier Investment Bank recruitment
My client, a Top Tier Investment Bank is looking for Senior Manager in Financial Reporting to be responsible for the management of the reporting processes for the Hong Kong branch and all subsidiaries.
The position will manage the financial reporting team and also liaise closely with the offshore financial reporting team located in India
This position reports directly into the Financial Controller for APAC giving the individual senior business face-off along with a strong platform to develop up to the next level. With ownership of the full reporting process this opportunity offers team management and decision making responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Manages the local statutory financial reporting process including the production of the interim and annual financial statements and also the Basel disclosures.
- Manages the quarterly group financial reporting process, liaising closely with Group Finance
- Manages the country level month end close process
- Liaises with the external auditors
- Provides accounting advice to business/business finance teams on new transactions and products
- Participates in various Finance projects including implementation of new processing/Finance systems
- Reviews Country Addendums to ensure that all financial reporting implications have been taken into account and documented
Qualifications Skills
- Qualified accountant
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS GAAP
- 8+ years in financial reporting and/or audit
