Senior Manager, Foreign Exchange

The Senior Manager, Foreign Exchange (FX) is a new position, created to support the continued rapid growth of the FXIP business at American Express.

Reporting directly to the Head of Foreign Exchange Services in Singapore, this position will be responsible for all customer interactions from acquisition, through to ongoing relationship management, servicing and marketing.

Tasked with leading 11 Account Development and Sales Executives, this individual must possess superior leadership skills and be a result driven individual with a proven track record in leading and motivating a revenue generating team to success, in what is an extremely competitive environment.

The goals associated with this role will be tangible financial goals directly linked to the overall business profit and loss. The successful candidate will be measured against revenue, profitability, new acquisitions, activated clients, staff productivity and customer satisfaction.

As we are at a crucial stage in the evolution of our business, this role will be given the clear directive to innovate, and will be expected to review and implement changes to the way we currently service our clients. The ability to think strategically, bring news ideas to the table and execute them will be essential.

There is also an expectation that the successful candidate will have very strong senior level strategic selling/relationship management experience, which will allow them to coach and up-skill the team. Face to face visits for the purpose of acquisition and retention will form a key part of the role both in terms of delivering on a revenue target, but also in terms of providing coaching and feedback to develop staff.
