Senior Manager Funds recruitment
Job Purpose:
• The successful candidate will be expected to deal effectively with all client issues and administration tasks for a caseload of clients.
• To assist Directors / Senior Managers in the establishment of an effective system of internal control
• To assist in controlling activities in the department and to ensure that all work is completed in accordance with the prescribed policy procedures
• Manage own team and supervise work load to ensure team targets are met
Duties :
• Administration of a portfolio of funds and companies some of which will be complex and seeking guidance or verification where necessary and assisting with a range of day to day administrative tasks within the department.
• Responsibility, in liaison with a director, for relationships with clients within portfolio .Contact with a portfolio of clients, to enhance and maintain client relationships ensuring quality service
• Liaising with external advisors including investment advisers, asset managers, lawyers, accountants, brokers, tax advisers, auditors and other third parties as necessary regarding client affairs
• Assist with ensuring that all client requests/documentations are completed accurately and in a timely manner, taking action to improve the completeness of data and information
• Arrange directors and investor meeting, attend at these meeting and assist with the drafting of minutes and presentation of reports
• Maintain and updating statutory registers and be responsible for share registers and related transfer agency functions
• Ensure fund documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with constitutional documents of the fund
• Ensure the NAV calculation and verification, in conjunction with the account’s department
• Ensure fund management systems are kept up-to-date and accurately reflect and corporate actions
• Complete subscription and redemption process on a regular basis
• Prepare all payment instructions accurately and within agreed deadlines
• Review management accounts and financial statements and arrange directors and investor meeting, attend at these meeting and
• Comprehensive annual review of funds and companies within portfolio
• Manage, supervise, train, develop and delegate to junior members of staff. Oversight of work undertaken by junior members of staff. Motivate, encourage and appraise junior members of staff in order that the overall service provided meets with the needs of clients and the business
• Closure of accounts per standard checklist
• Company / Compliance procedures and to ensure satisfactory completion to the agreed timescales.
• Ensure the funds department runs in an orderly manner and any issues are properly brought to the attention of the directors.
• Complying with all regulatory and legislative requirements in accordance with the regulatory licenses held by the business, including any codes of practice and regulatory guidance
Essential Requirements:
• Part qualified ACCA, ACA, STEP or ICSA
• 3-4 years total experience
• Able to delegate work to and supervise junior members of staff
• Solid experience of NAV calculations
• Good bookkeeping and accounting skills.
