- Manage the world-wide financial close process. Responsible for the planning and co-ordination of activities related to the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes. Requires significant coordination with US, EMEA and APAC accounting teams, as well as Tax, Treasury and Corporate FPA.
- Drive initiatives to standardize and enhance global financial reporting and processes between US and International accounting teams, including balance sheet reviews with global accounting teams.
- Manage a team of 2 individuals responsible for consolidation, chart of accounts management, inter-company accounting, foreign exchange reporting, and restructuring and integration accounting.
- Key contributor in the preparation and related analysis of the quarterly financial packages provided to the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer.
- Work closely with treasury team on FX exposure management and hedging programs
- Partner with corporate tax team to operationalize the accounting for tax planning and transfer pricing initiatives.
- Work closely with the technical accounting and external reporting team, specifically related to supporting disclosures in the quarterly (10-Q) and annual (10-K) SEC filings.
- Jointly responsible with other senior finance managers for the management of the quarterly reviews and annual audits conducted by external auditors
- Key member of the integration process related to business combinations
- Develop and grow the corporate accounting team to be able to assume more accounting activities related to corporate balance sheet and corporate income statement activity.
- Work with IT to drive system and business process changes in the corporate accounting function.
- Ensure SOX requirements are met and compliance is maintained at all times
- Identify and implement process improvements as part of continuous improvement initiatives
- Undertake and manage special projects and other reporting needs as required.
- BBA/BS in Accounting is required.
- CPA license is required
- A minimum of seven years of accounting experience
- A minimum of two years of supervisory experience
- Strong understanding of the principles related to consolidation and inter-company processes
- Good understanding of foreign exchange accounting
- Strong leadership, presentation and communication capabilities.
- Must have very strong organization and planning skills
- Strong customer service orientation and excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills
- Ability to multitask, set priorities, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced, dynamic and changing environment
- ERP experience, with preference for Oracle
