Senior Manager – Global Middle Office recruitment
The Role / Responsibilities:
- To have a strong understanding of the financial knowledge of Structured Finance inclusive of the different Lines of Businesses that fall within the SFG.
- To be able to effectively manage a team of nine employees and resolve escalated issues efficiently in two different regions
- Have a comprehensive working knowledge of the European Union regulatory rules and to apply those rules to our processes and procedures and applies these rules to all external publications and deal structures
- Have a total understanding of the 17g-5 and 17g-7 procedures that effect our daily processes
- To review the work of the team and ensure that the deals are accurate and processed in a timely manner
- Continue to train the junior associates so we can maintain and increase our service levels agreements to the analysts
- To create efficiencies within the team that will provide timely and accurate deal information from the rating release sheets and press releases
- Possesses a wide spread knowledge of all the internal databases that the team will use and uses this knowledge to respond to escalated issues from the team and the analysts.
- Liaise with senior management on new processes that were assigned to the team and respond to their queries with a sense of urgency.
- Bridge the gap of Structure Finance product knowledge between the junior and senior associates on the team via one over on reviews and consistent training sessions
- Be able to handle urgent requests with ease using the product knowledge in real time.
- Assist with all the highly visible reports that goes to senior management and create efficient ways to improve the process, if necessary
- Communicate with the heads of the LOB’s when the group is asked to take on new tasks and provide the necessary training for the team
- Train all new hires
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Science or Financial discipline
- Proven previous relevant experience in a related field
- Working knowledge of Structured Finance
- Previous Management experience
- Complete understanding of the EU regulatory mandates and to apply that knowledge to the deal structures
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to details and results oriented
- Highly organized and efficient
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Previous financial data or product experience
The Department / Team:
Global Middle Office (GMO) provides transaction processing and related support to the Rating organization. This role will be responsible for working within the organization to ensure process consistency across the various product types and workflows.
