Job Title Senior Manager, Information Systems (SG3) Department Information Technology Location Reston, VA Reports to Director, Information Services Position Summary Senior level position providing management of helpdesk professionals, network administrators, systems administrators, information security specialists and consultants in providing information systems support and security across the enterprise. Oversees all infrastructure maintenance and upgrade efforts, as well as conducts disaster recovery for the enterprise . Provides analysis of the state of information systems and data a cross the enterprise . General Purpose Management of personnel, and projects. Position Responsibilities · Senior level position requiring advanced technical knowledge in all areas of systems and network management, systems security, system configuration, and update, data backup and recovery · Provides advice and leadership on evaluation, selection, implementation and maintenance of information systems, ensuring appropriate investment in strategic and operational systems · Oversees systems analysis and programming activities to establish and implement new or upgraded systems a nd programs · Plans, leads, organizes, controls and manages all projects related to selection, acquisition, development installation and upgrades of major information systems for the enterprise · Responsible for cost and time estimates, feasibility studies, and design and implementation of new or modified systems and programs · Conducts human resource management of all IT employees including interviewing, hiring, and performance management · Supports the Director, Information Services to analyze user requirements and fulfill these requirements in a standard sys tem design and review process · P erforms all activities related to maintaining a successful ent erprise data management system s · Develops and maintains enterprise IT policies and procedures to ensure the protection of enterprise IT assets and the integrity, security and privacy of information entrusted to or maintained by the enterprise · Develops and maintains an enterprise-wide business recovery plan to ensure timely and effective restoration of IT services in the event of a disaster · In conjunction with or without the Director, Information Services develop/write the IT/IS/Communications sections of all Request for Propo sals developed by Triple Canopy · Manages information security program for the company, leads INFOSEC educational and awareness seminars, responsible for Certification and Accreditation of Information Systems Essential Skills and Experience · History of a bility to manage an Information Services team in a high paced environment supporting o perational needs · IT project management experience, including infrastructure design, implementation and upgrade · 10+ years prior experience in systems and/or network administration · Ability to design, implement, maintain, and upgrade enterprise wide IT solutions · Familiarity with concepts of INFOSEC, experience implementing security solutions · Assist with support of corporate server farm · Experience designing and supporting highly-available systems and virtual infrastructure · 8 + years experience maintaining a large corporate infrastructure consisting of multiple sites · Extensive systems security knowledge/capabilities · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Ability to hold a security clearance up to Top Secret Valued but not required Skills and Experience · Assist in IT infrastructure support, helping to maintain Linux-based application servers (Fedora, Red Hat) · Linux, Windows and Network administration · Knowledge of Project Management Profess ional terminology and processes Reporting to this position · Sr. Network Administrator(s) · Sr. Systems Administrator(s) · Sr. Messaging Administrator · Helpdesk Professional(s) Physical Demands and work environment Must be prepared to attend weekly meetings and communicate effectively with Senior Management Team, internal and external customers, lateral staff and subordinates .
