Senior Manager Internal Audit (Commercial Banking) recruitment

Requirements and duties associated with this role includes:

• Plan and perform audits of brokerage, corporate credit and any other assigned area of the bank, their related corporate processes and operations in accordance with the bank’s policies, regulatory requirements and best practices.

• Scope will include all corporate processes, risks and controls in mitigating risks. 

• Develop, maintain and assist in the development of risk based control focused comprehensive audit plans covering Islamic banking, brokerage, corporate credit and other assigned areas of the bank.

• Manage and supervise audits as directed by the Group Head of Internal Audit.

• Participate in the development of the Internal Audit strategy and overall plans.

• Prepare audit working papers that record and summarise information on audit area in support of the detailed audit plan and report.

• Participate in the performance of integrated audits with the financial, operational and regulatory auditors, as may be required.

• Contribute to advisory assignments relating to organisational activities, process development and improvements as well as the application of IFRS and Basel II and III.

• Prepare audit reports which provide an appropriate opinion and clearly and concisely outline significant areas of risks, control issues and recommend remedial action. Discuss audit reports with client management.

• Use the audit report as a basis to discuss with the Group Head of Internal Audit; to implement a continuous monitoring plan to ensure, in partnership with client management, timely resolution of control issues.
