JOB DESCRIPTION
A leading tier one investment bank is looking to appoint a senior managing product controller within their CVA team. Their CVA team is particularly strong and subsequently requires an experienced product controller with managerial experience to help develop the desk further and expand their remit. You will report directly into the head of credit CVA and will be personally responsible for a small team.
Responsibilities: Primarily to oversee your immediate team within the CVA product control space whilst reporting directly into the head of CVA and credit. You will oversee the PL, balance sheet management, defaulted derivative processes and internal billing so strong operational experience would be a bonus. This is an unconventional product control position within a highly dynamic environment. Opportunities to expand into a variety of avenues within the bank will become available to the right candidate at an institution that is renowned for offering incredible opportunities.
Location: New York/ USA
The role:
• Covering the CVA desk
• Handling internal billing
• Handling defaulted derivative processes
• Daily reporting, balance sheet management etc
• Working very closely with the senior managers and front office
• Managing a small team
• Overseeing the daily PL’s
• Confirmations and settlements management
Requirements:
• An internationally recognized accountancy qualification and/or strong mathematical/accountancy background
• Candidates with 6 + years experience
• Candidates with middle office experience will be strongly considered
• Knowledge of the treasury space is advantageous
• Previous team leadership experience is desired
• Middle office experience, handling bookings confirmations and settlements
• Strong CVA experience
• Knowledge of booking confirmations, settlements, overseeing PL’s
• Ability to work effectively autonomously as well as part of a team
• Ambitious individuals
• Hands on attitude
• Desire to help expand and propel the team forward
• Able to effectively communicate yourself with senior management and traders
• Candidates with a blend of finance and middle office experience
