As our Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing based in our corporate offices in Cary, NC, your mission will be to locate and manage relationships with key suppliers as well as negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring accuracy and follow through at all times.  This role will require you to have a proven track record of developing and implementing sourcing strategies for assigned categories while being comfortable with taking a leadership role in managing and executing sourcing categories or projects using cross functional teams.  You will also interface with various groups within strategy/business development, marketing, sales, information technology and other professionals from various departments where applicable.  It will be your responsibility to negotiate for the "win-win" by developing a long-term partnership with our suppliers.  Drive the company's continuous improvements in decreasing suppliers cost for goods and services while increasing quality and delivery time. Your previous experience successfully partnering with suppliers to obtain quotations, RFPs, RFIs, prices and delivery times while monitoring their performance on quality, competitive pricing, schedule lead-time, timeliness of delivery and conformance to specifications will be key. Expertise in project management, process improvement, and the ability to teach and train remote site buyers on proper procurement skills and systems will be the tools with which you build your success. National travel of up to 20% will be required as you seek to build strong partnerships with suppliers around the country. While not required, a CPM or CPSM certification will elevate your candidacy.
