Senior Manager, Operational Risk Governance recruitment

Position Overview:

Located in Toronto, working for a premier global financial institution, the Senior Manager, Operational Risk will be responsible for ensuring the proper execution and governance of the Company’s established operational risk management framework across the Canadian operations. The ideal candidate must have a strong intellectual curiosity, advanced organizational skills and have 3-5 years’ experience in operational risk.

Responsibilities:

• Work with business units to monitor the identification and resolution of operational risk events across the Company.

• Consolidation and reporting of key risk indicators.

• Maintenance and reporting of operational risk analytics to executive management and the Board.

• Monitor key business processes and ensure business leaders are maintaining up-to-date process maps.

• Monitor/review all Bank projects and their adherence to operational risk governance requirements.

• Monitor the effective governance over operational risk arising from outsourced functions (internal service level agreements and external contracts).

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree

• 3-5 years operational risk experience; financial services preferred

• Advanced organizational and problem solving skills

• Intellectual curiosity

• Strong consulting, facilitation and influencing skills

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
