Senior Manager – Rates Valuation Control
Responsibilities Include:
- Lead a team (6-7) that provides daily coverage on identified benchmark interest rate setting processes in 22 countries and submission of market data points
- Mentor and coach the team with regards to any discrepancies and breaches
- Represent the team in engagement with senior management and governance committees
- Review and manage trading information, submissions and consensus data
- Daily MIS reporting which may include breaches of Material Variance Threshold and Material Variance Excess Report
- Participate and build processes based on regulatory recommendations and market best practices
- Periodic MIS reporting on the overall findings of the independent monitoring process to governance committees
- Review inputs into monitoring database
Requirements Include:
- 8-10 years working experience in related Front Office/Risk/Product Control or Operations
- Strong understanding of FX or Rates. Awareness of the LIBOR abuse and recommendations from the various agencies (HM Treasury, EBA, TMA and MAS) will be extremely advantageous
- Familiarity with governance frameworks or systems. The aptitude to innovate, through systems awareness, in the retrieval, consolidation and delivery of results would be a huge advantage
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and Access skills will also be a distinct advantage
- Capable to work independently, with excellent interpersonal and coordination skills and the ability to cope with tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills to highlight key risks and pertinent issues to all stakeholders
- Ability to identify and resolve issues/breaches would be a key attribute
- Proven track record in leading and managing a team
