Senior Manager Retail Banking Compliance

A Global Retail Bank requires a Retail Compliance Specialist to join their business as a Senior Manager. The role will wit within a specialist division that provides Mortgage and Secured Loan Products. You will be required to deliver regulatory compliance advice, guidance and support to the senior management team based in London and Hong Kong. Specifically your key stakeholders will include global heads off different product lines, heads of credit as well as heads of operational risk. 

As a Senior Manager you will be responsible for the development, deployment and continued oversight of globally consistent compliance policy for the Retail Banking business units and ensure that all retail banking businesses develop and maintain the highest compliance standards.

Key responsibilities;

Work closely with the wider Global Retail Banking management team to offer seamless compliance coverage across the global platform.
Partner with regional teams leveraging resources as needed to execute Compliance oversight and support of the Business.
Deputise for Compliance Officer for Retail Banking at all relevant Committees where needed.
Liaise with relevant individuals within Group and elsewhere regarding new products and services and the development of standardised compliance procedures, monitoring and training.
Input to the annual Compliance Plan and coordinate or carry out functional and thematic reviews in accordance with that Compliance Plan.
Drive consistency in local compliance risk assessments, ensuring that they are completed effectively, with monitoring plans prepared and executed.
Ensure the accurate provision of periodic reports as required and provide input to Compliance and Annual Plan.
Provide compliance input into all projects and systems developments as they relate to the distribution of products globally.

Experience required;

Thorough understanding of global cross-border retail banking businesses.
Practical knowledge of broad range of Retail products and services with technical knowledge of Mortgage products.
Experience of working in an international or global compliance function.
Experience of managing cross border projects and undertaking functional reviews.
Ability to operate with clear vision under stress in crisis management situations and operate effectively against uncertain and on unfamiliar ground.
