Learn More about U.S. Cellular Senior Manager, Retail Store Design Construction This position will be responsible for leading the architecture, design, construction and go-to-market for all retail store design concepts. This position will also manage a variety of vendors, including architecture, retail fixture firms, general contractors and signage companies. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead a team of construction and design managers, vendor manager and project coordinators dedicated to the development of showrooms, showroom layouts, showroom invoicing and project management - Manage scope, schedule, and budget for all retail store capital expenditures - Partner with Sales, Real Estate and Marketing to identify, develop and prioritize specific business initiatives that improve distribution channels - Partner to develop and maintain a distribution model to evaluate the expansion, relocation and renovation potential of company owned and agent locations - Responsible for tracking, recovery, refurbishment and reallocation of all store fixture assets - Manage the tracking, application and delivery of LEED qualifications and certification - Develop and manage overall functional showroom strategy and tactical plans - Oversee and ensure the timely delivery of showroom build outs, relocations and remodels for company owned and agent locations - Operationalize brand strategy for Store-within-a store and kiosk locations - Sales Operations owner of vendor relationships related to USCC showrooms i.e. architects, fixture houses, general contractors, sign company - Track showroom expenses and continually review opportunities for cost reduction - Coordinate with marketing department on the placement of promotional in-store presentation materials and collateral - Manage use of Intranet site for communication of showroom and facilities related standards - Implementation of specialty displays for new product and service launches - Manage branded display offerings for non-exclusive agent program - Ensure accuracy of store database and store locator on the web - Assist Directors of Sales in implementing their strategy for opening/remodeling/relocating points of distribution QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred - Minimum of 7 years experience in business strategy design and execution, preferably in wireless industry - Strong leadership and people development skills - Experience in developing strategies around distribution channels - LEED certification or experience preferred - Ability to translate strategic objectives into manageable goals and tactical plan - Experience in negotiating contracts and vendor management - Project management with an emphasis in retail showroom renovations. - Experience in wireless, telecommunications, communications or big box retail industries preferred. - Strong analytical and financial acumen - Experience in negotiating contracts, working in a decentralized environment PC literacy skills with Microsoft Office Products, ProjectMates) - Excellent oral and written communication skills As the nation's fifth-largest wireless carrier, we give you the opportunity to connect with your fellow associates, as well as with your customers.
