Manager/Senior Manager, Risk Regulatory Practice - Scotland Northern Ireland

Based in Scotland , you will be working within our Risk Regulatory Practice specialises in assisting firms in the development of their governance and enterprise-wide risk arrangements. My client's focus is around Operational, Regulatory and Enterprise Risk and is split between Risk and Regulatory Risk teams. The company teams work with a broad range of clients across all financial services sectors providing a range of advisory products and services, including the assessment and design of risk and compliance frameworks and operating models, reviews of risk management policies and processes, assistance with the assessment and implementation of regulatory change, responding to the risks of internal change initiatives, together with the assessment and remediation of regulatory issues.
Role Purpose
With the complex regulatory risk management environment leading to increased demands for my clients services, they are looking to recruit an experienced Manager/Senior Manager into their Regulatory team in Scotland. A key focus of the role will be to support the development and growth of their practice and service operations, manage and oversee significant client projects and advisory engagements and to develop existing and new client relationships.
You will be an experienced regulatory risk professionals, with well-developed consulting skills, who are expected to lead and support the delivery of projects and to develop the practice capabilities on a local and national basis. It is expected that you will have developed skills through a broad range of roles across areas such as policy development, compliance project management, compliance oversight and due diligence reviews, regulatory liaison etc.
Role Requirements:
To deliver high-quality output, advice and assurance across specific subject regulatory risk management projects
To act as a subject matter expert (SME), advising and supporting clients in meeting FSA requirements
To lead and support opportunities across existing and new clients
To lead and support the development of new and existing relationships within the local market in line with development and growth targets
To develop and maintain productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Contribute to internal and external thought leadership
Core Experience Skills
(Desired) Consulting experience with Big 4 Regulatory Advisory teams
Graduate with degree qualification in relevant business/risk management discipline
Relevant professional qualification (Securities Institute Diploma, FPC etc.)
Significant regulatory compliance experience in the financial services sector (Banking, Insurance, Investment Management etc)
Proven track record in managing complex regulatory projects, with evidence of successful management of senior stakeholders
Strong relationship management skills demonstrated through professional network with stakeholders at all levels within Financial Services sector on a local or national basis
Detailed understanding of industry best practice in relation to regulatory risk framework and operating models and the regulatory change agenda.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
A good understanding of the macroeconomic environment
Good team management skills
Ability to work under own initiative
